in the beautiful village of Thornton le Dale,

on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park.

About Us

Brent & Linzi & Buddy the black Labrador look forward to welcoming you warmly to our gallery. You may just find that perfect picture you have been searching for or an ideal present for that person in your life who has everything. The Stables gallery came to life in 2006 after 3 years of offering a picture framing service to the trade only. And in 2010 we moved to our lovely new gallery right in the middle of the village. It couldn't be better, parking just outside and a wonderfull view of the village green and beck.See you soon.

We are proud to offer what we believe are some of the best originals by local artists, also limited edition prints and open editon prints by local and national artists.Local artists exhibiting with us at the moment include Angela McCall and Christopher Ware.We have glorious limited edition prints by Yvonne Coomber, Angela Davidson, Sam Toft & Kate Wyatt.Open edition prints by Alex Clark are a fun favourite and are available framed or unframed starting at just £5.00. We also have a print browser full of Sally Mitchels stable of artists, including Paul Doyle, Frederick Haycock, John Tricket and Mick Cawston.Works are available framed and unframed to suit all budgets and tastes.

Whether you have prints, photos, original paintings or something a bit different, all framing is conducted onsite to the highest quality born from years of experience.Everything is framed personally by us with specialist care and attention, no matter what your budget is.Come in and discuss your requirements with us, we would be pleased to spend time with you to ensure the finished item is exactly how you want it to be.All of the pictures on the walls of the gallery have been framed by us to the highest standards. Our customers are able to see the quality of our work and sometimes it even gives them some inspiration so that they can visualise their own finished pictures.We have framed some amazing items in the past including football boots and shirts, guns, knives, cigarette cards, kites, rugs, you name it we can look at a way to frame it for you.We pride ourselves on our customer service and are pleased to have many repeat customers who spread the word to their families and friends.We also offer a contract framing service to other galleries and artists. We can dispatch orders all over the country and would be pleased to discuss your requirements.

The Stables now offers a range of hand finished and painted furniture by Linzi.Items available at present include a pair of chairs, a hat stand, a kitchen rack and various small tables.Items are stripped, painted in Farrow & Ball 'Dead flat' and then waxed to protect the paint and piece.Also available are several fabric memo boards made by Linzi. These can be made to order to suit your colour scheme in any size you require.We can also make fabric panels as a statement alternative to a painting or picture for that wall you just not sure what to put on. You can supply the fabric or we can source it for you, match your sofas or curtains or go for something completely different.We also have a couple of stunning upholstered chairs by local craftsman 'D L Upholstery'.

We also have a wide range of blank greetings cards by Alex Clark and Sally Mitchell.Alex Clarks bright and lively animal cards and prints are a delight to young & old and are an old favourite of ours.Sally Mitchells cards feature the work of artists such as Mick Cawston, Paul Doyle and Johnathan Walker.We have local wood turners bowls and candle sticks, local artists Blacksmiths toasting forks and fireside sets.Our own photo frames and vintage tea cup candles plus scented hanging hearts and mice.Our range is always changing, please come in and see what we have new in today.
